1. Service Description

SolScribe provides AI-powered audio transcription through a Zero-Retention Cloud architecture. When you upload audio, it is processed on isolated cloud GPU infrastructure using WhisperX, and the audio file is permanently destroyed the millisecond the transcription text is extracted. No audio data is retained after processing.

The service includes speaker diarization, confidence scoring, and optional integrations such as webhooks and LLM-powered features, all accessible through the SolScribe web application at app.solscribe.ai.

2. Account Terms

To use SolScribe, you must create an account via our authentication system (powered by Supabase Auth). You agree to:

• Provide a valid email address
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Be responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use this service.

3. Credit System & Payments

SolScribe operates on a credit-based system where transcription minutes are purchased in advance. Key terms:

• Credits are non-refundable once consumed. Used transcription minutes cannot be reversed or refunded.
• Failed transcriptions are refunded. If a transcription fails due to a system error, the credits for that job are automatically returned to your balance.
• Unused credits do not expire. Purchased minutes remain in your account indefinitely.
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe. SolScribe does not store your payment card details.
• All purchases are one-time transactions. There are no recurring subscriptions unless you explicitly enable auto-replenish.
• If you enable auto-replenish, your selected payment method will be charged automatically when your balance drops below a threshold. You may disable this at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SolScribe to:

• Upload content that violates any applicable law or regulation
• Process audio you do not have the legal right to transcribe
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or compromise the service infrastructure
• Circumvent usage limits, abuse the credit system, or engage in fraudulent activity
• Transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code through file uploads
• Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our systems

5. Intellectual Property

You own your transcripts. All transcription output generated from your audio files belongs entirely to you. SolScribe claims no ownership, license, or rights over your content.

The SolScribe name, logo, branding, website design, and application code are the intellectual property of Duncan Smith and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

6. Privacy & Data Handling

Your privacy is fundamental to SolScribe. Audio files are processed in isolated cloud enclaves and permanently destroyed immediately after transcription. We do not retain, review, or share your audio data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Limitation of Liability

SolScribe is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service availability
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific credits that gave rise to the claim
• We are not responsible for transcription accuracy, and output should be reviewed before use in critical applications

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

9. Termination

You may stop using SolScribe at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination:

• Your access to the service will be revoked
• Unused credits are non-refundable upon termination for cause
• Any data associated with your account may be deleted

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or via email. Continued use of SolScribe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
